  1. That sounds like a good read for anyone. I have not personally read it but it has good reviews.
I'm actually reading three books when ever I'm not too sleepy to read a page. This time of year is so busy.
    Enjoy your book.
    Hugs, Julia

  2. No- I haven't read it. I think I need to add it to my reading list. I have 3 different books going and will let you know if they are worth the read. I just read The Woman In The Window and I loved it-it is a very different kind of book though! xo Diana

  3. One of our favorite book club books! I did a post about it. I just got it out of the library for my younger daughter to read this summer, the older one has read it and love it too!

  4. I have hundreds of book on my kindle app that I've gotten for free or 99 cents but I never take the time to read. That is on my bucket list after we downsize. Reading takes you away to places in your mind and that's a great feeling!!!

  5. This is on my list and I have wondered whether to order it or not. I have read many books this year and right now I am looking for something really good … not too heavy … not sappy ... but entertaining? I have a book on the way I am looking forward to … the book about Christine Noble. And another book about the lady who founded BSF Created for Commitment.

  6. Let us know how you liked it! Right now I'm reading some books a blog friend sent me and also going through old favorites that I read every spring and summer, the gardening novels of Beverley Nichols. And I'm enjoying a fabulous gardening book my sister sent me for my birthday called Gardenista, which led me to their FB page of the same name.

  8. Haven’t heard of that one, but always have a book on the go, just never seem to reach the bottom of the ‘to read’ list xx

  9. Yes, we read it for my book club! It won the Pulitzer Prize for fiction in 2015. It was very powerful. I can't really say I loved it because of the tough subject matter, but it's a very good book.

  10. This sounds like it would be a good read. I have not gotten to reading this summer. So much going on. I need a good book to settle me down some. I am looking for a good light read for summer.

  11. I read this book and gave it my highest rating...which I save for only a few! I finished Island of the Mad and now I'm reading Girl Waits with Gun. It's set in the olden days and very fun to read! Hugs!

  13. I spent a lot of this past year reading Dostoevsky. Oh and then I read Catcher in the Rye with my daughter. Depressing it all was... Anyway, I picked up Love and Gelato. That was such a cute book, and a really nice read for teen girls. When I finished it, I gave it to my niece, because it suited her more than my daughter. She loved it, so I picked up Love and Luck. Now, I saw this book you mentioned, and I actually considered it. The title sounds hopeful, but I didn't want depressing, so I picked up another book next to it in Half Price that also begins in Paris. Unfortunately, I cannot find it so I can tell you the title. It is about a middle aged man, a lost love, and the power of books. I also have a book on Churchill and this one: Exodus: God, Slavery, and Freedom. Do you think you will review it? I've read a lot of Holocaust books like Night and Man's Search for Meaning, as well as some fiction. I'm willing to read it on vacation. xoxo Su

  15. I read it several years ago and loved it. It sort of took my breath away and I could not read anything else for a week or two. Good luck.
