Florida or Bust

Florida or Bust

We were headed to Florida.
Sunshine
Baseball
Swimming
Spending time with our friend Bonita
 Palm trees
Walks on the beach

Welcome to the Florida Grapefruit League!
Following a call with the 30 clubs, and after consultation with the Major League Baseball Players Association, Commissioner Robert D. Manfred Jr. today announced that MLB has decided to suspend Spring Training games and to delay the start of the 2020 regular season by at least two weeks due to the national emergency created by the coronavirus pandemic.

Over 1.4 million fans attended games in Florida during the 2019 season and since 2000, over 31 million fans have enjoyed Florida Spring Training Baseball.

Maybe next year?

Stay healthy my friends

  3. Glad you are staying safe. It is hard to believe what is being reported and how bad things are going to get but being cautious is the best way right now. Our schools, hospitals, churches etc. are all shut down until April. I went to Target and the grocery store and the shelves are bare. Kind of scary to see. I guess the next few weeks will tell how bad tis will be.

  4. Sweet friend, we are in the same boat. We were headed to Arizona today for Spring Training and an Andre Rieu concert. Sadly, we had to cancel our trip. So sorry you are not able to go, dear one. Take care of yourself! {{{hugs}}}

  6. Smart decision! It's really frustrating to see all the people who are out and about like a snow day was called. This is serious and people need to stay home.
