Hello Friends, It is that time!
Time to bake the 2021 Easter Cake! It is always a surprise. No peeking for my family, until it is time for dessert on Easter Sunday!
I am so excited because we all will be together this Easter. We are traveling to my parents farm to celebrate with my sister and her husband. Both of our boys will be joining us.
Easter has been a tricky time for all our family to celebrate in years past. My dad survived a heart attack four years ago during the Easter holiday. We celebrated that Easter in the hospital. Our son was away at Basic/AIT training in 2019. And we all know what happened to Easter 2020!
A peek at a few of the past year's cakes.
I will post next week the 2021 Easter Cake! And share the recipe too.
2020 Easter Cake ~ one of my favorites!
Have a Blessed Easter Weekend.

Your Easter cakes are delightful, Carla. I love seeing them. So happy that you will all be together for Easter this year. Sometimes it happens, sometimes it doesn't, and it sounds like you understand that, my friend. I'm so glad to have met such a beautiful and wise woman in blog land. Happy Easter to you, special friend. Can't wait to see this year's cake!

I always love your Easter cakes! How great that you'll all be together! Last year it was just the 4 of us which was a blessing, this year it's just the 2 of us. Looking forward to getting together with family again..hopefully in the summer!
ReplyDeleteI'm looking forward to the great reveal of the famous Carla Easter Cake Post. I'm so happy for you that your Easter celebration will be with family. Unfortunately, we will be by ourselves this year. Maybe, next year Easter will be celebrated with family. I miss everyone.

The bunny butt cake made me giggle. I once made a garden cake using marzipan for each of the vegetables and made a bunny in the garden as well. It took me so long to complete it that I really did not want anyone eating it. Will NEVER make another like it. Happy Easter to you and your family. Janice
ReplyDeleteYour Easter cakes are all so pretty. It would be hard to pick a favorite. So glad your family can be together this Easter, that's so very special. Can't wait to see this year's cake.
ReplyDeleteAll your cakes look yummy and I love that they are made homemade and with love. I love carrot cake so much too. We are headed to Michigan to the lake house we rent for the weekend to all be together. Weather is looking good for the Easter Egg Hunt.
ReplyDeleteHappy Easter. xoxo
Happy Easter to you and your family, Carla! I am looking forward to seeing what 2021 has in store for your Easter Cake!
ReplyDeleteLast year's cake was outstanding! I can't wait to see the reveal. Happy Easter!! xxoo
ReplyDeleteOh your cakes are bringing me so much joy. And your family getting together is amazing.
ReplyDeleteWe are so hoping for isolation to end. But not just yet. The bunny is bringing a tiny peanut butter egg and some jelly beans to my husband. My mom would make a big ham, potatoes, green beans, and we would have lamb shaped butter. our little Easter baskets had chalk, candy and a few little jumprope sin them. She always bought the lamb shaped cake for dessert. Thank you for stirring up these memories.
I'm so happy that you will all be together at your parents farm. Safe travels for everyone. They are all lovely but I do like the carrot on the 2020 cake. Can't wait to see this years!
ReplyDeleteHappy Easter to you and your family. God Bless
