This past week was a week of worry for me. I was given a recent reminder ~ worry forces us to focus on the wrong things!
We worry about the unknown and uncertain events of tomorrow. When we focus on the wrong things, we miss the main thing that life is all about.
Cute cookie!
ReplyDeleteIt's hard for a mother not to worry about our kids and family members especially in today's uncertain times. It's OK to be concern but when we surrender our worries to God, and trust in his providence, we can be at peace.
ReplyDeleteYou are right, we should be more focused on the positive things so we don't miss the main things that life is is all about.
Enjoy your Christmas baking.
Hugs, Julia
Glad you got to see Sam and Atticus this past week. Hope you have a wonderful Thanksgiving. Enjoy. xoxo Kris
ReplyDeleteStaying in the present moment is tough. Thanks for the reminder. Thinking of you...
ReplyDeleteIt's so hard not to worry when we are sensitive and caring. I'm counting my blessings today too. Happy Thanksgiving week!
ReplyDeleteSo nice that you saw both your boys this past week.
ReplyDeleteAll the best Jan
Amen! That last one is me and I need to learn not to do that. Glad you saw your boys. Those decorated cookies look so cute. Enjoy the rest of your week.
ReplyDeleteI'm sorry this was a week of worry, Carla. I hope things get better for you. Those are the cutest reindeer cookies. I'm so glad you got to see your sons last week. Orange marmalade on English muffins sound Yummy. Nel likes Earl Grey tea too. Your joy list posts remind me of all the little things we have to be thankful for. Happy Thanksgiving week, Carla.

It's an interesting time of year...in some ways full of hope, and in others (darkness, dying plants), it's sad and difficult. The events of Waukesha have me especially sad this particular week. I hope you will have a pleasant Thanksgiving with your family.
ReplyDeleteCute cookies! I love your reminders about worry. Thanks for sharing!! Have a lovely Thanksgiving ~ FlowerLady
ReplyDeleteLovely list, Carla! And thanks for the reminder about worrying. I tend to worry a lot myself but it isn't at all helpful!
ReplyDeleteHope you have a Happy Thanksgiving!
I hope and will pray that the worries are gone and you are at peace, and I hope that you had a wonderful Thanksgiving Day! They say "worry is interest paid on a debt you don't have," or something very similar, that woke me up a bit! But still, we do worry, who love...That is the cutest cookie ever, by the way!
ReplyDeleteWise words about not worrying. Thanks for sharing.
ReplyDeleteThose reindeer cookies are adorable.
Good reminder about worry.
ReplyDeleteWe have some beautiful November sunshine today. The hens are soaking it up!
I would love to sit and chat with you over a toasted English muffin with marmalade and a cup of hot Earl Grey tea! You are wise woman. xoxo
