Merry Christmas

Looking out the patio door.. during our big snow fall December 10th.

Merry Christmas

Wishing you a beautiful Christmas weekend with family and friends.

I recently read an article written by Paul Anthony Wallerius. I am going to share some of it in my own words..

In our youth we make Christmas all about what we are going to get. We create our list and never doubt there will be several packages under the tree with our names on them. As we grow older we realize that there isn't much that we want or need and we make the transformation from "getter" to "giver" because it brings us joy.

2021 has been another difficult and quarrelsome year.

Paul shares a gift suggestion that if given and received would surely bring about more peace on earth and good will toward men.

What could do that?

Love

Joy

Peace

Patience

Kindness

Generosity

Faithfulness

Gentleness

and

Self-Control

  5. Beautifully said and so right on the mark. Spending time together is our present to each other and our daughter this year. While we're not getting together with the larger family as we did pre-Covid, our daughter is with us since she is now fully vaxxed and booster, which wasn't possible for her age group this time last year. Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays

  6. Your words are very nice, Carla. As we get older, there really isn't much that we want or need, maybe a few things for the kitchen or things to make our life easier, but we have mostly everything we want, don't we? And the spirit of Christmas has always filled your heart at this time. I appreciate that about you so much, Carla. Your list tells all the things we need to better ourselves for the new year. Thank you for sharing it.

Merry Christmas to my precious blog friend.

    love you,

    ~Sheri

  17. Hi Carla.....Hope you and yours enjoyed a wonderful Christmas season and the ringing in of the New Year. Our Christmas temps were in the upper 80's.....would have loved to have had snow, but this is just a dream when living in Texas. Have a very good week.

  19. Yes! What you shared is so very true, Carla. First, I do enjoy giving more now that I'm in my golden years. It gave me so much happiness to bless my family this year with gifts. Second, I've been thinking a lot this season about the fruit of the spirit, and how this is what will bring peace and harmony to the world. With God all things are possible! Hugs and Happy New Year, my friend! Nancy
