Hello Friends, it is time for a rewind.. to Christmas.
A visit to Irvine Park is always a must for us. A great way to kick off the Christmas weekend.
A dear friend made this bowl for us as a Christmas gift. The popcorn too.
The wood from the bowl came from a big crab apple tree that once was in our backyard. That big crab apple tree has many memories. The boys built a fort in that tree and a swinging ladder. With that swinging ladder came another memory.. one of our boys falling from the ladder and breaking his wrist. Oh, the memories of that big crab apple, now preserved as a lovely bowl, to make me smile and reminisce.
Christmas Cake.. chocolate cake, chocolate frosting with crushed candy cane on top.
Our Charcuterie Board.. YUM!
Candlelight Dinner.. a family tradition.
A homemade gift for each of us. Can you guess which one is mine?
Thank you for coming along with me on a Christmas Rewind.

ReplyDeleteI love your celebration. The food all looks so good. A great photo of you and your husband. You are so lucky to get a beautiful handmade wooden bowl from the old Crabapple tree. It will make a lovely family heirloom. It would be wonderful to have one for each of your boys. So much sentimental memories. The caramel popcorn makes me want to go and make some especially this evening.
ReplyDeleteThe cold North wind is blowing so loud from the river. It sounds like a train going by.
