This week Tuesday we had a warm day, the temps climbed to 38 degrees. After weeks of the high temps in the teens, Tuesday felt like spring was on the way.
This gave me the opportunity to let the hens out. I cleaned their run and coop.
Molly, Lolly, Polly, Dolly and Holly loved the time in the sun.
When I ventured to the house to grab some new gloves and I came back outside, five hens had decided to find out just where the Chicken Farmer had gone.
Up the steps we shall go. I think she went this way. |
Hello.. any bugs, fresh green grass or dirt this way?
Have a great weekend my friends.
♥
Carla
How cute! They are so pretty! Have they laid any eggs yet?
ReplyDeleteI'm sure my son's (next door) chickens are very tired of snow too!
ReplyDeleteBut it is not spring like here. Well, it's nice today and so, I expect someone could find it spring like. But cold weather is coming back soon.
😊Blogs are little 1st Amendment machines😊
Your chickens are too sweet. They look like happy chickens. xoxo Kris
ReplyDeleteLove your girl's names!
ReplyDeleteOh, that is precious. Spring is just around the corner and like your sweet hens, I can't wait for spring either.
ReplyDeleteHappy Weekend.
Hugs, Julia
That's so cute. How nice that they could get out and walk around and get some sun. So how are they in the coop with the cold weather?
ReplyDeleteGreat names for your hens. :) Yes, it has been nice to have slightly milder weather. Have a great weekend!
ReplyDeleteToo funny Carla, they followed you! Nice pictures. Glad both you and hens got some sunshine. The count down til Spring remains a thing. I keep hoping for warmer weather and more sun each and everyday. I'm the first person to comment...do I win a prize or something, lol
ReplyDeleteIt was such a beautiful day for the hens! Looking forward to more days like that!
ReplyDeleteThis is soooo cute. I love your hens! They must love you to follow you like that. We have only two guineas now and I worry about them sleeping in the trees. I've started leading them into the little guinea lot where they were raised. It surprises me every evening when they run to meet me and follow me into their lot. Makes you feel good , doesn't it.
ReplyDeleteYour five hens must have had a delightful time getting out and roaming around. Such cute photos of them. I loved seeing the snow still on your ground. Ours has melted, but it's still pretty cold in the mornings. Have a pleasant weekend, Carla.

ReplyDeleteHappy Valentines Day.
All the best Jan
How much fun! The groundhog must not have seen his shadow in Wisconsin, and the hens know it! ;P
ReplyDeleteAwwwww they are ever so cuuuuute! They were definitely looking for you, Carla! I'm glad you had a break in the extreme temps. xoxo
ReplyDeleteThey look so happy! Hens always bring so much joy. Spring is on its way girls!
ReplyDeleteHaha, love this post, and the names of your chickens.
