Hello Friends,
A little of this and that to share with you.
We enjoyed a visit to our local apple orchards. My husband made Crab Apple Jelly and it is delicious spread on a slice of English Muffin Toast.
We enjoyed exploring a corn maze, a tractor ride along the orchard and eating one of the best apple turnovers I have ever tasted.
Mid - October the bees are still visiting.
Collecting seeds, digging up dahlia, gladiolus and calla lily.
Still blooming under an October snow fall.
Trick or Treat?
The snow melted and we have been enjoying lovely Autumn weather. And I say to you..
Happy New Garden Year
as we plant..
garlic
tulips
daffodils
crocus and more.

"Hark! The wind is rising,
And the air is full of leaves.
We've had our summer evenings.
Now, for October Eves."

Oh Carla, I always love your photos. They are so delightful. Snowfall already? The visit to the apple orchards sounds fun with the tractor ride and apple turnovers. The crab apple jelly sounds Yummy. Your pumpkin is so cute with its long stem. Long stems are my favorite, but I never seem to find them. Your "this and that" post today was truly special, Carla.

Definitely a trick! Just this morning we had a wonderful apple strudel from a German bakery near my daughter's home. I love apple everything far more than pumpkin this time of year. Pretty pictures!
ReplyDeleteWhen my kids were little we would visit the apple orchard and enjoy donuts and apple cider. Those were the days. Did I see snow???? UGH I know its coming. Janice
