Hello July

Hello July
July already! That is what I hear everyone saying.
How quick summer goes.
It seems to go faster the older I get!
Keeping up the gardens, my boys and taking time to breath in summers sweet smells. Spending time in the summer shade reading a book, taking a canoe trip down the river and picking the first harvest from the garden.

What have you been up to the first few days of July?

In the morning, very early,
That's the time I love to go
Barefoot where the fern grows curly
And grass is cool between each toe,
On a summer morning-O!
On a summer morning!

  3. I agree, the older I get the faster the time goes as I'm always busy at something.
I'm harvesting spinach and the snow peas are ready for stir-fry, and so are the onions. One of my early cabbage is almost big enough to pick.

I spent the first of July doing the usual and I clipped on side of the large neglected hedge as high as I could reach from the ground and I need to do the other side on the neighbour' s lawn. The heat gets to me.

    Hugs,
    JB

  4. Carla, it sounds like you are enjoying the summer days. Yes, they seem to be flying by, so I am trying to enjoy them as well. It was hot here last week, in the 100's, but supposed to be in the 80's this week. :~)

Wishing you a good week, and those daisies made me smile.

  5. It does seem to be flying by now that we've hit July. Things have gotten busy but hopefully they'll slow down again before summer is completely over.

  6. All sounds like the recipe for a perfect summer. School holidays in New Zealand too now. the kids and I are catching the train into the city, where we plan to visit the Art Gallery. Something a little different for all of us.

  7. I do so agree the time passes so quickly ... must make the most of summer whilst it's here. Have been out and about just enjoying the sunshine, and looking at the summer flowers.

    All the best Jan

  9. Your flowers are just gorgeous! Like you, I'm wondering where the time is flying away to. I was in the store the other day and all the fall and Christmas decorations are out!

  10. It is simply amazing! Can we just "Pause" for a week this month, and just enjoy?? Wouldn't that be nice?
Hope your garden is doing well! The flowers are stunning!

  11. What a lovely poem! I have to agree that time goes by took quickly. I've been back from vacation for a week and where that week has gone I do not know. Only getting back to reading blogs now. A disgrace.

  14. Your daisies are so pretty. I think they're one of the most cheerful flowers. I always smile when I see daisies! We are always busy the first week of July with Independence Day celebrations and Shelley's birthday, so it's party central around here!
