This and That

 Hello Friends,

A little of this and that to catch up with you today.

The No Fooling April Fools Day Blizzard!

14 inches of snow with plenty of wind to create drifts.

I created our Easter table settings.

I planted microgreens in washed out egg's. They were a hit. We snacked on our table settings as well as looking spring time pretty.

Another great harvest of maple syrup. My friend Lori calls it, liquid gold.

The first bloom.

A reminder of the promise of spring, new life and not to give up having faith.

On the road between the houses of friends grass does not grow.

  1. I love your "this and that" posts, Carla. The little eggs you made for the table are cute. What a creative idea for Easter. Wow, look at your snow! You got so much too! The maple syrup that you make and put in jars is wonderful. And I love your words on that wee flower and faith. Thank you for that on this Monday morning.

    Have a great week, Carla.

  3. Your maple syrup looks wonderful! We do maple sugaring too with our daughter and family (they do the boiling). The season seemed short this year, but 26 gallons is nothing to sneeze at for backyard sugaring.

  6. Bravo with the maple syrup harvest. I can almost taste it on my waffles. Yumm.
I think your micro-green egg cups is a novel idea for a Easter centre piece.

I have a few crocus growing of what is left from the squirrels last year.

    Happy Gardening.
    Hugs,

  8. OK, so I hope this is the last of the big snows! You got so much snow, after having mild days like we did last week, right? I guess I can't complain, since we only had about an inch, but after warm days last week, so many plants were emerging and blooming. Enough! Your Easter place settings and maple syrup are truly impressive!

  9. No snow here, but it's cold again after a few days of (unseasonably warm) 80 degree weather. I love that you were able to snack on your Easter decor...that's the best!!

  10. Boy you guys up north have really been hit hard with snow. We are in Michigan this week and the weather has been very cold. Wish it could have been like last week and in the 80's. This weather we all are getting is so crazy. Have a great week. Hugs. Kris
