Ugh you could have sent me one third of that tomato and still have had plenty for you and Jeremy and Atticus and Sam, Carla! What happened? Haahaha wow that looks good. TG grows the smallest tomatoes on the planet. Some are the size of a pea. I am serious. We are enjoying the last few weeks of summer with lots of activity in the offing. Happy new week! xoxo
ReplyDeleteSuch a beautiful tomato. I bet that would taste good in a BLT. Glad you are enjoying your summer. Hugs. Kris
ReplyDeleteMy brother-in-law grows heirloom tomatoes and they are so good! That is one huge Brandywine tomato!!
ReplyDeleteThis is a great joy list. Isn't it amazing as to how many joyful things we really have in our lives. And...WOW on the tomato. Beautiful and I now it is so tasty...
ReplyDeleteThat's a big tomato. We have yellow tomatoes growing this year. Hooray for time with your boys. The sunflowers, cobbler, sweetcorn, grilled chicken and bike rides sound perfect.
ReplyDeleteWow that's a big tomato. I've grown some beef tomatoes this year which are big but not that big lol. Great list Carla but I bet your favourite is spending time with both your boys.
ReplyDeleteLooks so good. Regine

That's a big tomato for sure. We were given some tomato plants that have the same size and shape in our garden this year but frankly, I prefer the regular size but I bet that it taste very sweet, by the name of it.

Julia
WOW!!! That is one BIG tomato!!! Love it and I bet it made the best BLT ever! Happy Summer-it is hotter than a bonfire here today---ugh! xo Diana
ReplyDeleteHi Carla, this is Jill from Emerald Cottage (my phone will only let me reply as anonymous!) You mentioned (jokingly maybe) that you would like a keyhole scarf (like the ones I’d blogged about). Well just wanted to say if you really would like one do let me know, I’d love to make one for you. If you do want one just go and reply on my blog post xx
ReplyDeleteThat is a HUGE tomato, wow! I just love the brandywine variety too. There is just nothing like a fresh tomato sandwich! Tomatoes are definitely the stars of the garden! All your summer loves are mine too - it is a season that passes oh so quickly!!! We must soak it up, indeed!
ReplyDeleteThat is a very big tomato. Hopefully it tasted as good as it looked, but usually home grown ones taste the BEST! Janice
ReplyDeleteI love summer--even the hot days. And I'm not ready to say goodbye to summer yet. Gotta enjoy it while it lasts. :) Impressive tomato!
ReplyDelete"Spending the last two weekends with our boys"...lovely, I know how long you waited to do that!!
ReplyDeleteOh my goodness, your tomatoes are so big! There's nothing like home grown, is there? They would taste wonderful on your BLT's. Corn on the cob is always so delicious. They are kind of expensive in bundles at the stores. The blueberry cobbler sounds Yummy. Your "joy list" posts bring joy to my heart, Carla. And a good reminder to be thankful for all we have.

Great tomatoes ... there are a few shops and farmers markets locally that sell heirloom tomatoes.
ReplyDeleteAll the best Jan
This all sounds amazing and full of summer goodness!
ReplyDeleteOh my gosh.... that tomato is huge!!! He must have taken excellent care of them to get tomatoes that big this year!! I didn't keep with the necessary watering very well.
