Joy List Monday
♥ a weekly ritual ♥
a reminder to stop and pay attention to the little beauties and graces that make life magical and to set aside time for gratitude each day
Made in Holland
We recently stopped in at our favorite Gouda Cheese Shop and we were given a free mustard sauce to try. It is delicious and it is all gone. I loved dipping my chicken tenders in it and with my hard boiled eggs.
Spring has sprung here in the garden.
Ernie and Penelope.. are like little children, they want to get in the bathroom with you. My husband is busy using the loo, with the door closed. They are saying"let us in"!
My friend Khristeen sent me this photo via text message. More signs of spring and more taking time to stop and notice the little things.
Our first duck egg... from Lucy and Ethel. Not sure who laid the first egg, but thank you.
♥
Wishing you a beautiful week full of little things that make you smile.
That mustard dill dip looks yummy! Yay on the first duck egg how exciting and that is too funny, Ernie and Penelope are too cute! We are definitely getting spring here, lots of rain and everything is turning green. Hope you have a wonderful week!
ReplyDeleteHa Ha about Ernie and Penelope! That is so true. The dip sounds delish. A guy Terry works with gives us duck eggs from his ducks. OMG they are the best. They are the best for baking I have been told. I just love them to eat. Happy New Week. Hugs. Kris
ReplyDeleteMmm, mustard & dill sounds delicious! What will you do with your first duck egg?
ReplyDeleteCats! I always think it’s funny when I see a little furry paw under the bathroom door!
ReplyDeleteCongratulations on your first duck egg!
I love how Ernie and Penelope are best buds now, united in a common cause. That's adorable!! Enjoy that egg, too, spring has sprung!!
ReplyDeleteHow are you cooking the duck eggs? Do they taste any different from chicken eggs? I guess among dogs, it must be a big deal when any of them goes to the bathroom!
ReplyDeleteLove the picture of Ernie and Penelope. Just so cute!
ReplyDeleteLove how your pets want to be your audience lol. Don't think I've ever eaten a duck egg. How does the taste compare to a hen's egg?
ReplyDeleteOh, your first egg! That would be so exciting to see. That mustard sauce looks tasty, and what a good idea to put it on chicken tenders and hard boiled eggs. Penelope and Ernie look like they are good friends now. ; ) Your "joy list Monday" posts have always made my heart smile, Carla. Love them to bits.

Wow.. a duck egg. Love their names. That dill mustard dip looks good too.
ReplyDeleteI forget how much farther north y'all are. The daffodils look so pretty! I think it's so funny how pets always want to be with you...that's a funny photo! Are duck eggs smaller than chicken eggs? How do they taste?
ReplyDeleteOh, that mustard sauce sounds delicious. I can understand why it's gone already. ;-) Cute how the pets are guarding the door. Happy spring!
ReplyDeletegoodness.....that mustard dip looks so tasty. Isn't it nice to receive a gift like this and one that you really like? I have never had a duck egg....I'm assuming they are very similar to the chicken eggs? Ernie and Penelope are so cute. they are being so patient! Looks like you all are getting ready to really enjoy Spring. Ours has been here for a good full month now. Spring season is such a beautiful time of the year. Hope your week is full of JOY
ReplyDeleteGlad you enjoyed that sauce. The flowers look beautiful. That's too cute with Ernie and Penelope. Hooray for Spring and the first duck egg. Enjoy the rest of your week.

All the best Jan
That mustard dip makes my mouth water! Now I want to find some! Hugs!
ReplyDeleteThat's exciting about your first duck egg! Willow doesn't like a closed door, especially if I'm in the bathroom! Signs of spring are so wonderful!
ReplyDeleteMy dad learned of that cheese store and has ordered online from them.
ReplyDeleteI am looking forward to hearing more about Lucy and Ethel!
