March

Melt and Freeze

March

The world is full of magic things, patiently waiting for our senses to grow sharper.

  1. March is a tricky month. It has one foot in winter and one in spring. It's full of anticipation and wacky weather. My friend lives in Wisconsin and she said it's been snowing for two days. It just rained a lot here today, but snow could show up at anytime...and then disappear as fast as it showed it. I hope you had sunshine in your neck of the woods!

  2. Here in my part of the UK we've had quite a lot of welcome sunshine during March, and the Spring flowers are looking lovely.
There have also been family birthday celebrations.
Enjoy these last days of March.

    All the best Jan

  5. Neat pictures! Our weather has been decent all month. It was the best the week that I was in Florida- go figure! We've had lots of high wind.

  6. Even here in the deep south, we have a mixture of very warm/still quite chilly weather in March, sometimes even in April and May, plus we have spring tornadoes.

  7. Freezing temperatures and spring flowers and sunshine and snow. That describes March.

  8. We have the most fickle weather here. One day it is winter the next Spring. Snow and then rain and 40 degree differences in temps from one day to the next. They are saying April is going to be above normal temps so I hope that is true and Old Man Winter lets go. Have a great week. Hugs. Kris

  9. Your pictures are wonderful, Carla. They are always so unique. It's true, there are so many different kinds of snow. I didn't realize that until I experienced the snow days here. We recently had a wet snow, which melts fast. And a hard icy snow is very hard to shovel. The prettiest is the first soft snow. The quote you shared is delightful.

    Happy Spring!

  10. Wonderful photos, Carla! It snowed all day here in New Hampshire yesterday. It only added up to 4 or 5 inches though. Today is in the low 40s and partly sunny. Realistically we always expect snow in March, and usually in April too.

  11. hey Carla...I've been wondering if you all are thawing out. I see several areas that are still getting lots of snow. I'm not bragging because the heat in Texas can get miserable, but yesterday it was HOT here. I needed to have on shorts. great quote!! Have a wonderful day..
