Spring is here. Our trees are starting to bud. I have tulips and daffodils peeking up in my south facing garden. Robins and Red Wing Blackbird are visiting our yard. I can hear a Sandhill Crane in the distance as I stroll along the yard, inspecting plants and starting to make my outside to do list. My soil and yard is very wet and the frost is not completely out of the ground. I must be patient.. the time will come to get outside to start the Spring clean up.
That my friends brings me to the Spring Cleaning on the Blog!
First, THANK YOU for the patience you have had with leaving comments. I know many of you struggled with in the writing of a comment on my blog, it would disappear. POOF!
Many of you shared your frustration in a fun way. Kathy B said it best, "I think a leprechaun has been eating my comments."
I think I solved the problem by doing some cleaning on my blog site.

Sadly, I have been getting a slew of inappropriate comments.
I am trying something different regarding the comment section of my blog.
I am in hopes you are still able to comment, because I enjoy our blog friendships. And many of us have been blog buddies for years and years. And some of us are new blog buddies.
I have been inspired by some blog friends that are doing color posts. They choose a color and post photos highlighting that color. I am going to post for January today. I have decided to choose the color white for January.

My husband and I purchased snowshoes for each other for Christmas. We do enjoy cross country skiing, but we are not able to adventure in some areas with skis.
We have really enjoyed snowshoeing.
It has become a new favorite!
During one of our snowshoe adventures we came across the following tracks.
Tracks we had not seen before .. what animal could be passing by?
When taking photos of the tracks be sure to place something next to the track to determine the size of the track. Also take a photo of the gait (the walk) of the animal if you are able. This will help when you start your research on who made that track.
Could it be a Badger?
It would be something if it was a Wolverine!
It is a Fisher.
The message below my husband sent to the Wisconsin DNR.
My husband received a nice reply back from Curtis he did confirm the track was a Fisher and that it was a unique track to see.

My wife and I found this track on Monday Feb
4. We were snowshoeing at a Barron County park by Prairie Lake. Whatever
animal it is from was following our tracks from Friday Feb 1. We had
some rain and melting over the weekend which may have distorted the
track.
In the photos I have attached the basket of my
pole is 3.5" diameter, for scale. Looking at various track books and
online I think it may be a wolverine track.
If there is any insight you may have I would be interested.

Today, we solve the mystery. The seeds that Kris sent to me are Moon Flowers. She sent some photos of the Moon Flowers. I just love how big the bloom is. Along with the seed pods for us to dry and have fun with, Kris sent along some of her Hollyhock seeds. I just love her seed packs she made up. If you missed Mystery...Part 1 Click Here
In the mean time, I am dreaming of the garden. Last weekend I made up my garden plans for 2015 and ordered my seeds.
This is me...I hope to be doing this again real soon!
We plan to have a Fresh Market again this season. The boys are helping me design and build a new stand. I will be excited to share it with you when we have it finished.

We find every excuse to be out of doors and even the threat of spring housecleaning does not deter us.
Every time she posts a find,I always comment back that I need to go shopping with her.
Some of her good luck must have passed into the computer and up on to me. I found the most story telling set of dessert dishes and mugs.

I found this set on December 20th.
We had family and friends stop in during the week of the holidays, so I was excited to show off my dessert set. And I got to say, I got this fun set for $2.50!!
I am hoping that Heather's good luck stays with me.
I received the sweetest card from a dear friend, with TWELVE (plus one, she said it was a bakers dozen) gifts...that equaled 12 inside. For example, 1 dozen eggs, a 12 pack of colored pencils, a pack of 12 dish clothes, a 12 pack of rootbeer...you get the idea! My entire kitchen counter was full.
