It is Friday. It is time to take a trip.
We are heading to Gundy's Canyon today, in the Blue Hills of Rusk County, Wisconsin.
We hiked to Gundy's Canyon in January.
When we headed out on our hike we had a cold wind blowing on us. As we ventured into the canyon we could no longer feel the wind. It was a pleasant day for a winter hike with the canyon blocking the wind.
Beautiful snow, each flake a different design.
An Oak leaf hidden in a dusting of snow.
Winter sun making the day bright.
A huge rock formation. There are several different rock formations in the canyon.
A wall of rocks on three sides.
Thank you for joining me on a trip to Gundy's Canyon.
Wishing you a great weekend!
Looks like a great place to visit. We got snow this morning. :( Hopefully it will melt soon. I'm over it!
ReplyDeleteHave a blessed day

I love these pictures! It's nice to see a beautiful, breathtaking winter scene, our Winters usually look like this but not this year! The shot of the sun through the trees is my absolute favorite!
ReplyDeleteSome great photo's here and that last one is fun!
ReplyDeleteIsn't it amazing that each snow flake is a different design... nature can be most wonderful!
Enjoy the upcoming weekend
All the best Jan

ReplyDeleteGreat photos, Carla! Our church youth group used to go to Gundy's Canyon for sleigh rides back in the other century. :-)
ReplyDeleteWhat a wonderful trip! Loved seeing your photos.
ReplyDeleteGreat photo and what a neat place to visit. I had not heard of this park before. Another WI place for us to visit. xo Diana
ReplyDeleteVery pretty! So nice to find a neat place like this on a blustery day!
ReplyDeleteJust my kind of fun! A hike on a clear sunny day... loved all your pictures, the closeup of the oak leaf and snowflakes, and the boulders you saw. Sounds like a perfect hike to me! Glad the hike got warmer without the wind! And the photo of all the hiking boots, so cool! :)
ReplyDeleteGorgeous Carla. What a fun day. Have a great week end.
