July Color of the Month ~ Purple

At the start of 2020 I decided to do a color of the month post.
January ~ White
February ~ Red
March ~ Green
April ~ Pink
May ~ Red, White and Blue
June ~ Yellow
July ~ Purple

Eggplant.. I can not wait for our first eggplant from the garden. They are getting bigger and bigger each day. Our garden is loving the heat and humidity.

Blazing star aka Liatris

More eggplant!

Purple wrapped candy!
Flowers and more flowers.

I planted morning glory in an old watering can I had. I am just loving how it is looking as the morning glory twist and climb.

A little more purple.

Before COVID.. enjoying a concert, in a big tent.

Have a great weekend.
Stay safe my friends.

  1. I love the Morning Glory in the watering can. I have never heard of or seen Blazing Star. It is amazing! It reminds me of those big long polyester dusters.

  7. Yay for purple. I love your idea of purple Morning Glories in a bucket. I planted some blue ones at the end of the hedge to climb on the remain of spruce trunk, but the deers ate the tops off. They have done so much damage this year. Nice eggplants...
    Have a enjoyable weekend.

  8. Purple is my favorite garden flower color! Now I want a purple morning glory after seeing yours. We have a blue one that was here when we moved but it's not the dark blue one that is beautiful. Eggplant is something I want to learn to like. Several people suggested I try the skinny Japanese ones.

  11. Love it! Pansies are one of my favorites, and of course we love blazing star because it attracts butterflies. :) I've never tried eggplant - what's your favorite way to eat it?

  13. What a lovely purple post - especially the eggplants (or aubergines as we call them in the UK)

    All the best Jan

  14. Hooray for purple! I have a lot of purple in my garden, too. Lots and lots of flowers. and the eggplants are doing fine, but nowhere near as crazy as the yellow summer squash. I think I never believed what they say about zucchini because in past years I haven't had luck with them, getting all male flowers. This year I can't keep up with them! Haha!
