Happy Autumn to All and it is the Hodgepodge

Hello Friends,

Happy Autumn to All and now it is time for the Hodgepodge.

Joyce asks the questions.

We answer the questions.

 1. Fall arrives this week in the northern hemisphere. Does it look/feel like fall where you live? What's something you love to do this time of year that makes you feel its officially fall?

*If you're answering today from the southern hemisphere feel free to sub spring for the word fall.

The colors are just starting here in Wisconsin. The last week of September and the first weeks of October are the showstopper leaf peeping times.

I love to stop at roadside stands and pick out my favorite pumpkins to set out on the porch.

 2. What's a small daily task or chore that always seems to fall through the cracks when your schedule gets busy?

Folding laundry, we will be picking through the clean laundry baskets and pulling items we need during that busy time.

 3. What's something you're falling for lately?

A warm cup of afternoon tea. It has been ice tea for the summer months, but we are cooling down and that hot afternoon tea hits the spot.

  4.  Pumpkin is a popular flavor this time of year.  Are you a fan? What's your favorite pumpkin flavored food or beverage?

I do like pumpkin flavor, in pie, cookies, bars and cake.

I love pumpkin pie and pumpkin bars with cream cheese frosting.

5.What's something you wish would never change? Explain.

A good hair day. When you are rocking that good hair day, everything is in place and feeling just right.

 6. Insert your own random thought here.

Happy Autumn!!

  1. Picking out pumpkins at a roadside stand is a great idea and way to support local growers. A hot cup of tea sounds lovely on a fall day! Are your temps super cool this week? Ours are- we are in the sixties all week. It makes me wonder how cool our more northern friends are this week, lol. I hope you have a great, good hair day today :).

  4. I completely agree with you on tea and hair : ) I need to add some pumpkins to the front porch. With the temps we've been having I felt like they might turn to pie right there, but I think we're cooling off enough now to add some to the decor.

  5. I think a good hair day is the best too. Just sets the tone for the day! Happy Fall. With all the rain and cool nights we should start to see the changes with the colors here soon. Happy new week. Hugs. Kris

  6. Although it is still warm, 91 today - the mornings and nights are much cooler. So it does feel like fall. I LOVE pumpkin! Pumpkin bread is probably my favorite, or a pumpkin puree that we make at Thanksgiving. I don't think I've had a good hair day for a while, I'm due!

  9. Happy Fall, Carla! I agree with most of your answers! I do think pumpkin spice flavor is over done these days though. I draw the line at pumpkin spice scented shampoo! Also agree that a good hair day can make the whole day! God bless!

  14. I really love that fall picture! I would love to be walking down that road. But you don't really see that here unless you drive to the mountains. We will be in the 90;s the rest of the week. I need to buy some pumpkin for Minnie to add to her diet. She is holding her own still.

  16. We aren't seeing much of a color change here yet and I am okay with that. I do love Fall and all the brilliant colors it brings. Sadly, I rarely have a 'good hair day' except the day I leave the salon after a touch and trim. lol. Oh- LOVE pumpkin bars. xo Diana

  20. Our days are still hot and humid but you cannot miss fall at the beginning and end of the day. I love the way it slowly asserts itself rather than taking over all at once.

  21. First of all, that is the neatest picture, Carla. You got yourself some cute pumpkins for the porch. I've never seen a white one quite like that before. I know what you mean about a good hair day. Having long, curly hair, I can relate. ; ) I enjoyed your hodgepodge today, Carla. Lots of good fall things to share. And your Wisconsin sounds really pretty during this season.
