  3. What a joyful post. I have a confession to make, I never forced Paperwhites. Such a nice way to bring beauty in the home during the long days of winter.

Awe, thanks for showing us the cookies your family decorated for Christmas. They are lovely. We can see a lot of love went into decorating the cookies.

I love doing puzzle and involving members of the family. Such a nice passtime.

We are having freezing rain falling in pellets. A great time to declutter a section of my husband's junk storage cupboard.

Take care and have a great week.
    Hugs,
    Julia

We usually chalk my front entrance door. It is very symbolic.

  4. Your cookies are so adorable! WOW! I've tried to decorate them but never this elaborate! Love the elephant recipe too. Oh...and the Buck DOES have scars on his back. I was going to get my son's opinion. They are evenly spaced not like another Buck would make. I wonder if he had a bear encounter. What do you think? Hugs, Diane

  7. It's a great idea to pass on puzzles! I don't know what chalking the door is either. I'm going to be googling that next. :) Your cookie decorating skills are fantastic! I miss paper whites. What a good idea!

  8. Your decorated cookies are wonderful, Carla. They look so Yummy. Is that like a chalkboard on your friend's door, very creative. Wow, the air balloon puzzle your son put together looks great! It's such a fun hobby. I gave Francesca a jolly Santa one, but there were so many pieces, and a little too advanced for her right now. What a cute recipe for Elephant Stew. I really enjoy your "joy list" posts, Carla. Thanks for sharing them from time to time. : )

  10. What a fun puzzle (the one with the hot air balloons). And now I have to Google what chalking a door means. I've never heard that expression, but the picture is very pretty.

  12. Well someone planted (I guess) paperwhites out by our poolside retaining wall, and you won't believe but during our arctic blast of December 23/24 IT WAS BLOOMING. No kidding it was trying to stand there in those sub-zero blasts of wind. The next time I looked, it was drooped dead over the wall. But it will come back. Your cookies are GORGEOUS and I hate jigsaw puzzles but I am alone in that. My mother loved therm and so does TG! xoxo
