On The Road Friday ~ First Day Snowshoe

Hello Friends, today we are taking a road trip. On New Year's Day my husband and I went on a snowshoe. We visited Interstate Park located in St. Croix Falls, Wisconsin. The trail we decided to do for the day took us along the St. Croix River.

Trails we took along the river..

Quarry Trail and Point Trail.

A sweet little bird nest.

A New Year's kiss!

Thank you for coming along with me today on our First Day Snowshoe.

♥

  1. Hi Carla, I'm glad that you had snow to go snowshoeing with your husband on New Year.
We got some snow overnight and my husband is snowplowing this morning. I'm not sure how many inches we got but it looks like we got about a foot.

    Take care, hugs.

  2. Hoe peaceful and calm it all looks. That is a big nest, and so close to the ground! I hope there are no foxes around!

  5. Great photos! You have so much more snow than we do (we have just a dusting). I'm wondering what February will bring. Enjoy your snowshoeing excursions!

  6. Oh my goodness that is pretty to look at but not sure I'd want to be hiking in it.

  7. I've never heard of a snowshoe before, Carla. What is that? It's nice that you went on the trails with your husband and saw this beautiful snow along the way. Ours has melted because of the rain, but we're supposed to have another snowfall Monday. That little bird nest is precious. It must be so cold for you in this weather, but you always make the best of it, and appreciate these Winter moments. Stay warm, dear Carla.

  11. I was just telling my girls about your snowshoeing adventures. I think they might give it a try this winter if it snows enough. So far, we've only had a few flurries. Happy Weekend!
