Word of the Year

Hello Friends,

Last year I decided to create a word of the year. I know this has been something people have been doing for many years. I thought I would give it a try.

I decided on the word sunshine.

Sunshine

brightness or radiance or cheerfulness or happiness

a source of cheer or happiness

Looking back at 2022 I think I did very well in living up to my word. I try to spread some cheerfulness daily, in some way or another. I plan to continue to do so in 2023. And at the same time I am thinking of a word of 2023.

How about you? Have you played along with a word for you for the year?

Do you have one picked out for 2023? What is it and why?

♥

Carla

  1. You chose a great word last year, sunshine. I haven't picked a word this year but I might. One year I chose Listen, be still and Listen.

  2. Good for you Carla. I think it's wonderful to chose a word to focus on in the new year. I've not thought of a word but it's never too late to start thinking about it. I like your sunshine and it makes everything brighter.
I hope that you have some snow to do your winter sports. here we have no snow but since I don't ski or snowshoe, It's ok by me.
    Hugs,

  4. I love your word and hope we get more of it. We finally had the sunshine today after two weeks of no sun. That is what gets to me during the winters here is the lack of sunshine. I can take the cold and snow but not a. lot of sunshine gets to me. Have a good week. xoxo Kris
